We saw less of each other
As the years they ticked along
I heard that Dave had moved up to Sydney with his mum
Jimmy stayed round local
While me I headed west
And I got into some trouble
It was always me in trouble, unlike the rest

I never found new friends as I grew up
I searched in every bottle and every cup
I never had friends like I did
When I was a little kid
And I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one

I found out Dave got married
And Jimmy got real sick
But they caught pretty early luckily
I just hit twelve months sober
I thought of reaching out
Would they even recognise me?
Man, I barely recognise who I am now
